Oh my goodness…where do I even start about this wedding?? It was magical, beautiful, heartfelt and just perfect.
One of my very favourite things to do (and wish I had more time to do so!) is walk through a forest, taking in the beauty of nature. So, when a wedding ceremony takes place in a forest and I get to photograph it, I get pretty excited! The tall trees, the sun coming through, the smell of the earth, a perfect couple to say “I do”…it doesn’t get any better than that.
I also loved all the details: the quilts handmade and brought in by family members to cover the straw bales; the supper plates brought together to connect the families; the soil ceremony to blend all the family farms. AND…check out Kayla’s DRESS!!! Feathers…oh my!!
But, my favourite part of the day was the couple and their families, and the heartfelt love that surrounded every aspect of the day. I feel so honoured to have been a small part of this day – I know that so much work and planning went into it, and to have been asked to capture it was a true pleasure!
Kayla & Wade – I can’t believe it’s already been a year since we met and did your engagement photos. I have admired you from the start as a couple, but also as individuals. Spending the day with you, your family, and your friends, and watching how tight knit you all are, was amazing. Best wishes for many, many happy years together! I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into your day!!
